ICS Vortex on vocals

Tomorrow is the big day, the release of ICS Vortex debut album “Stormseeker”. As our activity has been increased the last coupple of months you have seen already three songs featuring ICS Vortex on vocal, two from ICS Vortex and one from Artisan. Are you exited about recording a new Borknagar album?
– Well yes, I always have a full blown “musical erection” the months before we hit the studio – and certainly this time around. I have a very good gut-feeling when it comes to the material we have at hand, we have an “updated” line up and we’re all urging to create the best Bork album to date. May sound like the typical pre-studio cliché type of thing to say, but I have never before had so strong empirical reasons supporting my gut-feeling for saying just that. Borknagar tour -09, day three

The third day and last day of this little weekend of Borknagar concerts took us to Oberhausen in Germany and a place called Turbienhalle. This was a festival which meant no sound-check for us, just hanging out all day, entering the stage late and then fly back home the next day. So I took these pics.

The Ketchup Incident

The Americans have some weird laws and rules. This week Dave had to return to USA for only one reason, he’s been abroad for 3 months. And if he doesn’t return, he’ll be “grounded” in the States.
At the same time, we Europeans also have some pretty messed up rules. We’re all so worried about the stream of immigrants from the poor parts of the world, that we have made laws that also prevent guys like Dave to live in Norway and play with his band without some rather heavy paperwork and long application processes. Fortress Europe, learn the expression.
