ICS Vortex – Launch first promo song “The Blackmobile” off debut album “Storm Seeker” online!
Norway’s ICS Vortex have launched the first promotional song, “The Blackmobile”, taken from their extremely versatile “Storm Seeker” debut album, to be released on August 22nd, 2011 in Europe and August 23rd, 2011 in North America via Century Media Records. Are you exited about recording a new Borknagar album?
– Well yes, I always have a full blown “musical erection” the months before we hit the studio – and certainly this time around. I have a very good gut-feeling when it comes to the material we have at hand, we have an “updated” line up and we’re all urging to create the best Bork album to date. May sound like the typical pre-studio cliché type of thing to say, but I have never before had so strong empirical reasons supporting my gut-feeling for saying just that. Norway’s ICS Vortex have signed a worldwide deal with Century Media Records for the launch of the versatile “Storm Seeker” debut album, to be released on August 22nd, 2011 in Europe and August 23rd, 2011 in North America.
ICS Vortex, former Dimmu Borgir and current Borknagar member, comments on the signing as follows: “Boarding with Century Media, ICS Vortex is ready to weather whatever storm lies ahead. The album, aged like a pirate’s favorite drink, is now ready to be shot with fellow mates.”

Borknagar tour -09, day three

The third day and last day of this little weekend of Borknagar concerts took us to Oberhausen in Germany and a place called Turbienhalle. This was a festival which meant no sound-check for us, just hanging out all day, entering the stage late and then fly back home the next day. So I took these pics.
