Til Dovre Faller – This weekend’s festival in the Norwegian mountains

My buddy Morten Thøring is arranging the pretty obscure metal festival Til Dovre Faller with great love for underground and old school metal. The first festival was in 2010 and today Morten kicks off this year’s festival with this line-up:
Friday:
Maim
Lobotomized
Devil
Ghoul-Cult
Saturday:
Koldbrann
Execration
Age of Taurus
Diskord
Black Magic
Not exactly headline bands, but still an awesome festival for fans of rough metal. Plus, it’s a trip to beautiful Dombås which lies at the foot of the Norwegian mountains! Morten is obviously a busy man these days but he managed to squeeze in 10 minutes to answer som of my questions: Read the rest of this entry »
Drumcam, ICS Vortex “Flaskeskipper”

As I wrote in my blog May 18. we recorded the drums for the ICS Vortex “Storm Seeker” in three sessions. The very last song we recorded was “Flaskeskipper” on December 3. 2009. Metallica played Skedsmohallen in Lillestrøm just outside of Oslo, September 25, 1986. Anthrax were support and John Marshall played guitar for Metallica since James Hetfield had broken his wrist in a skateboard accident. Read the rest of this entry »
Focusing on the fans, and Sarke.
It started as a crazy idea last week and by Tuesday I already had Viki picked out for the first -fan interview. Wednesday I sent her a mail and Thursday she had already answered and also provided a picture and all. I’m talking about he Borknagar-fan interview that we posted yesterday. Great fun and I for one really enjoy putting a face to some fans all around the world.
