I’m going to Las Vegas for the fourth time on June 25th. Sarke is playing the Hove festival in Norway on June 29th… So, what to do? Well, there’s no way in Hell I’m cancelling a poker trip to play a gig, so we asked Jan Roger Halvorsen to fill in while I’m in poker Nirvana. He’s playing drums in the fine thrash metal band Forgery and has done session work for Old Man’s Child and Rotting Christ. Jan Roger is probably a better drummer than me too so he’ll do fine! I wish them good luck with the show while I’m a happy camper playing poker 18 hours a day in Vegas.

You know I play Age of Conan by now. I’m currently active on the Crom server and in a guild named Auditor Fortuna Juvat. I mostly play a Bear Shaman named Fredrix, a Conqueror named Baro or a Ranger named Ullo who you will see in this video I made.

This week’s big event was the concert Dimmu Borgir had in Oslo together with the 53 man big KORK orchestra and the 30 people in Schola Cantorum choir. The people who were actually there reported that the choir did a good job filling in on the vocal parts previously done by ICS Vortex
Are you exited about recording a new Borknagar album?
– Well yes, I always have a full blown “musical erection” the months before we hit the studio – and certainly this time around. I have a very good gut-feeling when it comes to the material we have at hand, we have an “updated” line up and we’re all urging to create the best Bork album to date. May sound like the typical pre-studio cliché type of thing to say, but I have never before had so strong empirical reasons supporting my gut-feeling for saying just that. It’s another busy day at the Artisan office (yeah, right). Assuming you’re not blind, you’ve already noticed the new design. I’ve been hard at work (another yeah right) giving Artisan a new look since I joined Jens on this venture a couple of weeks ago. There are still some things left to fix but it’s (slowly) coming along. There’s a poker game from 19.00 so I’m soon out of the house…
