Artisan
Artisan is a band. It’s a metal blog and music project run by Jens F. Ryland and Asgeir Mickelson. ArtisanNorway.com has blog-posts about their lives as musicians and their bands; Artisan, Borknagar, ICS Vortex, Sarke, Spiral Architect and more.
The first project for Artisan was the “fan-video” for the PC-game “Age Of Conan“. Jens was inspired by the game to make music and the idea settled about making music to the game itself. This lead to the creation of this band with the lineup:
ICS Vortex- bass and vocals (ex-Dimmu Borgir, ICS Vortex, Borknagar, Arcturus)
Mustis- keys (ex-Dimmu Borgir)
Asgeir Mickelson- drums and guitar (ex-Borknagar, ex-Testament, Spiral Architect. Sarke, ICS Vortex)
Jens F. Ryland- guitar and video production (Borknagar, ICS Vortex)
Vegasti- video editing and production
Artisan is at this point unsigned and has no live plans, but many plans for future projects.

Didn’t consider a softer version no, the tune is after all a tribute to Conan, or Age of Conan and it’s a brutal place. Might consider this eventually though.
The research I have come across on this area though is that kids have a surprisingly well developed sense to distinguish violence in “cartoons” as different then real life. Don’t believe the old-school scheptics who believe that video-games will make kids terrorists, that’s mostly based on lack of knowledge and wrong use of statistics. Although age three might be a bit young for some of the decapitating scenes he he.
